turbulentsivoolumõõturi
A turbulent flow meter, or turbulentsivoolumõõturi in Estonian, is a type of flow meter that measures the rate of fluid flow by detecting the turbulent eddies created by an obstruction in the flow path. These devices are commonly known as vortex flow meters. When a fluid flows past a bluff body, such as a shedder bar or a Von Kármán vortex street generator, it sheds alternating vortices on either side. The frequency at which these vortices are shed is directly proportional to the velocity of the fluid flow.
Turbulent flow meters typically consist of a sensor and a bluff body. The bluff body is installed
The advantages of turbulent flow meters include their robust construction, lack of moving parts (other than
