turbovrtuovým
Turbovrtuový refers to a type of aircraft engine that combines features of both turbojet and turboprop engines. In this design, a turbine drives a propeller, similar to a turboprop, but it also incorporates a jet exhaust, similar to a turbojet. This dual functionality allows for efficient operation at a range of speeds. The core of the turbovrtuový engine is a gas turbine that burns fuel to produce hot, expanding gases. A significant portion of the energy from these gases is used to spin a turbine, which in turn is connected to a propeller located at the front of the engine. This propeller generates most of the engine's thrust at lower speeds. The remaining energy in the hot gases is expelled through a nozzle at the rear, creating additional thrust, especially at higher speeds. This arrangement provides a good balance between the high-speed performance of a turbojet and the fuel efficiency and lower-speed thrust of a turboprop. Turbovrtuový engines are often found on larger propeller-driven aircraft where a blend of speed and efficiency is desired, offering advantages over pure turboprops for certain flight profiles and over pure turbojets for fuel economy at moderate altitudes and speeds.
