Tumorkörnyezet is a Hungarian term that translates to "tumor microenvironment" in English. It refers to the complex ecosystem surrounding a tumor, which includes not only the cancer cells themselves but also a variety of non-cancerous cells, molecules, and blood vessels. This environment plays a crucial role in tumor growth, progression, metastasis, and response to therapy.

The cellular components of the tumor microenvironment are diverse and include immune cells such as lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It also encompasses stromal cells like fibroblasts, endothelial cells that form blood vessels, and extracellular matrix components. These elements interact dynamically with tumor cells, influencing their behavior.
