Tubuliiniga is a term used in Estonian biology that literally means “with tubulin.” It functions as a descriptive label rather than a distinct molecule, applied to cellular components or protein complexes that contain tubulin and are related to the cytoskeleton.

Tubulin refers to a family of globular proteins, primarily alpha- and beta-tubulin, that form heterodimers which assemble into protofilaments to build microtubules. Gamma-tubulin participates in nucleating microtubule assembly at organizing centers. Microtubules are dynamic polymers that grow and shrink through GTP binding and hydrolysis, and they provide structural support, tracks for motor proteins, and platforms for organizing cellular components.

Drugs that affect microtubule dynamics, such as taxanes and vinca alkaloids, are used as anticancer agents due to their influence on cell division.
