Triturbo refers to a forced induction system that utilizes three turbochargers to increase an engine's power output. This configuration is typically employed in high-performance or specialized engines where achieving maximum power and responsiveness is crucial. The use of multiple turbochargers allows for a more complex and optimized boost delivery across the engine's operating range.

In a triturbo setup, the three turbochargers are often staged or arranged in a sequential manner. This means that at lower engine speeds, a smaller turbocharger might spool up quickly to provide immediate boost, reducing turbo lag. As engine speed increases, larger turbochargers come online, providing greater airflow and boost pressure for higher power output. The complexity of a triturbo system requires sophisticated engine management and control systems.
