Trimetyylisilyyli is a chemical functional group with the formula (CH₃)₃Si-. It consists of a silicon atom bonded to three methyl groups. This group is often attached to other atoms or molecules, modifying their properties. It is a common protecting group in organic chemistry, particularly for alcohols.
