Trăsături is the Romanian term for traits or characteristics. The standard spelling uses diacritics: trăsături. In texts without diacritics the form trasaturi is common. The word covers distinguishing attributes of people, animals, objects, or phenomena, including physical features, dispositions, behaviors, or functional properties.

In biology and genetics, trăsături describe observable attributes (phenotypes) or the underlying genetic makeup (genotypes). Examples include eye color, height, blood type, or enzyme activity.
