Titratua is the Basque-language term used for titration, a quantitative chemical method used to determine the concentration of a solute in a solution. In a titration, a solution of known concentration (the titrant) is added gradually to a measured volume of another solution (the analyte) until a defined chemical reaction reaches its endpoint. The endpoint is identified by a visible indicator, a pH meter, or other instrumental measurements. From the known titrant concentration and volume, and the measured analyte volume at the endpoint, the analyte’s concentration can be calculated using stoichiometric relationships.
