The general form of a linear time-invariant state-space equation involves two matrices and two vectors. The state equation itself is typically written as ẋ(t) = Ax(t) + Bu(t), where x(t) is the state vector, ẋ(t) is its time derivative, u(t) is the input vector, and A and B are matrices representing the system's dynamics and input coupling, respectively.
