Thermostatische is an adjective used in German to describe devices, components, or controls that respond to temperature in order to regulate a process or environment. In common applications, thermostatische concepts are used to maintain target temperatures or safe operating conditions. In domestic heating, thermostatische radiator valves adjust heat output by sensing room temperature. In plumbing, thermostatische Mischventile blend hot and cold water to deliver a stable outlet temperature and reduce scalding risk. This mechanical movement modulates a valve, or changes a control signal, guiding the regulated medium toward a setpoint.
