Ventile
Ventile is a heavyweight 100% cotton fabric developed in Britain during the 1940s for military outerwear. The fabric is designed so that when dry it allows moisture vapor to escape, while when wetted the cotton fibers swell and the dense weave reduces water penetration, giving a degree of waterproofness.
