In some cases, men may experience breast enlargement or tenderness. Early detection is crucial for successful treatment. Diagnosis typically involves a physical examination, an ultrasound of the scrotum, and blood tests to detect tumor markers. If cancer is suspected, surgery to remove the affected testicle (orchiectomy) is usually performed. Further treatment may include chemotherapy or radiation therapy, depending on the type and stage of the cancer. Testicular cancer is highly treatable, with survival rates exceeding 95% for most types when diagnosed early. Regular self-examination of the testicles can help in early detection.
