The form is not found in major Finnish dictionaries and is generally not considered appropriate for formal writing. In standard Finnish, the common expressions are tapahtuma-aikoina or tapahtuman aikana, which clearly mean “during the events” or “in the time of the event.”

Etymology and usage notes: the word appears to be a concatenation of tapahtuma (event) with a suffix form that resembles ajoina, a construction not typically used in standard Finnish for this meaning. Because it deviates from established spelling and morphology, tapahtumaajoina can cause ambiguity and is advised against in official or academic contexts. It is more likely to be seen in informal online texts, headlines, or promotional material where space is limited and a compact, eye-catching form is desired.

Standard alternatives: for precise or formal communication, use tapahtuma-aikoina (during the events) or, when referring to a single event, tapahtuman aikana (during the event). In scheduling or logistics contexts, specifying dates and times (esim. 12–15.8.2025, klo 09–18) is preferred over a fused form.
