Süütejuhtme, also known as an ignition wire or spark plug wire, is a crucial component in gasoline-powered internal combustion engines. Its primary function is to transmit the high-voltage electrical current generated by the ignition coil to the spark plug. This high-voltage pulse ignites the compressed air-fuel mixture within the cylinder, initiating the combustion process that drives the engine.

A süütejuhtme typically consists of a conductive core, often made of copper or a carbonized material, surrounded by an insulating layer.
