Süsteemiüksus, often translated as system unit or computer case, is the main part of a personal computer. It typically houses the most critical components of the computer, including the motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), random-access memory (RAM), hard drive or solid-state drive (SSD), and power supply unit (PSU). The system unit is responsible for processing data, storing information, and facilitating communication between all the different hardware components.

The external appearance of a system unit can vary significantly. Common form factors include desktop towers, which can be full-size, mid-size, or mini-towers, and smaller, more compact designs like small form factor (SFF) PCs. The case protects the internal components from physical damage and dust, and it also plays a role in thermal management, often incorporating fans to keep the components cool.

Inside the system unit, the motherboard serves as the central hub, connecting all other components. The CPU performs calculations and executes instructions. RAM provides temporary storage for data and programs that the CPU is actively using, while the storage devices (HDD or SSD) store the operating system, applications, and user files permanently. The PSU converts wall power into the voltages required by the internal components. The system unit is essential for the operation of a computer, acting as the brain and backbone of the entire system.
