Szóedben is a term that does not have a standard definition in Hungarian linguistics. It is not present in major dictionaries, and there is little to no scholarly discussion. In contemporary use, szóedben is generally regarded as either a misspelling, a neologism, or a playful coinage encountered in informal writing or puzzle-like contexts.

Morphology and possible interpretation: The form appears to combine the noun szó (word) with the locative suffix -ben (in), a pattern common in Hungarian. However, there is no recognized word edben in Hungarian, and ed- is not a productive morpheme here. Consequently, most linguists treat szóedben as a nonstandard construction rather than a genuine inflected form. When encountered, it is commonly assumed to be a typographical error for something like szóban or egy szóban, meaning "in speech" or "in one word."

Usage and examples: Because it is not standardized, szóedben has no accepted grammatical role. In published texts, its appearance should be treated as an anomaly; in creative writing it may serve to evoke neologism or wordplay.
