A szabályozórendszert, or control system, is a system that manages, commands, directs, or regulates the behavior of other systems. The fundamental components of a basic control system include a sensor, a controller, and an actuator. The sensor measures the current state or output of the system being controlled. This measured value is then fed to the controller, which compares it to the desired setpoint or reference value. Based on this comparison, the controller generates a command signal. This command signal is then sent to the actuator, which manipulates the system to bring its output closer to the desired setpoint.

There are two main types of control systems: open-loop and closed-loop. In an open-loop system, the controller's output is independent of the system's output. It operates based on a predetermined sequence of actions. In contrast, a closed-loop system, also known as a feedback control system, uses the measured output to adjust the controller's action. This feedback mechanism allows the system to automatically correct for errors and maintain stability, making it more robust and accurate. Examples of closed-loop systems include a thermostat controlling room temperature or the cruise control in a car. Control systems are essential for achieving automation, precision, and efficiency in various applications.
