Syväsäädöttömyys, sometimes translated as deep deregulation or profound deregulation, refers to a hypothetical or theoretical state of complete absence of government regulation in economic and social spheres. This concept suggests a society where all activities, from commerce and industry to personal choices, are governed solely by market forces, individual consent, and voluntary agreements. In such a scenario, there would be no state-imposed rules, licenses, permits, or restrictions on production, consumption, trade, or any other aspect of human interaction.

Proponents of syväsäädöttömyys often argue that it would lead to maximum individual liberty and economic efficiency. They believe that competition and the pursuit of self-interest, unhindered by regulation, would naturally create the most beneficial outcomes for society. It is argued that market mechanisms are superior to bureaucratic control in allocating resources and responding to consumer needs. Furthermore, such a system would eliminate the costs associated with regulatory compliance and enforcement, theoretically freeing up capital for productive investment.

Critics, however, raise significant concerns about the potential consequences of syväsäädöttömyys.
