Suodatinpiireissä, known in English as filter circuits or filtering circuits, are electronic circuits designed to pass signals within a certain range of frequencies while blocking or attenuating signals outside that range. They are fundamental components in a vast array of electronic systems, playing crucial roles in signal processing, audio, radio communications, and power supply conditioning.

The primary function of a filter circuit is to separate desired frequency components from unwanted ones. This is achieved by employing passive components like resistors, capacitors, and inductors, or active components such as operational amplifiers.
