Sublimatsioonivärvide, known in English as sublimation inks, are a type of dye that can be converted directly from a solid to a gas without passing through a liquid phase. This property is utilized in a printing technique called sublimation printing. These inks are specially formulated to react to heat and pressure. When printed onto a transfer paper, the ink remains in a solid state. During the sublimation process, the printed transfer paper is placed against the material to be decorated, such as polyester fabric or specially coated ceramic mugs. Applying heat and pressure causes the sublimation inks on the paper to turn into a gas. This gaseous ink then penetrates the pores of the material and solidifies upon cooling, creating a permanent, vibrant, and full-color image. The resulting print is integrated into the material's surface, making it resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling. Sublimation printing is widely used for custom apparel, promotional items, and photo gifts due to its ability to produce high-resolution and durable graphics.
