subCLINs
subCLINs is a term used in some clinical informatics and data-structuring communities to denote subunits of a clinical indicator (CLIN). A CLIN is a defined measure or criterion used to evaluate a patient outcome, incidence, or event in healthcare data. SubCLINs are the constituent elements that, when combined, form the CLIN. They support granular data capture, allow modular definitions, and enable hierarchical reporting.
