Stulya is a common East Slavic word for "chair." It is derived from the Proto-Slavic word "*stolъ," which also means "table" or "seat." The word is used in Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, and other Slavic languages, with slight variations in pronunciation and spelling. For example, in Ukrainian, it is "стілець" (stilets), and in Belarusian, it is "крэсла" (kresla), though "стул" (stul) is also understood.
