sooritatakse

Sooritatakse is an Estonian finite verb form, specifically the present tense passive of the verb sooritama. It translates roughly as “is performed,” “is carried out,” or “is executed,” and is used when the agent carrying out the action is unknown, generic, or unimportant. The form is common in formal, technical, or instruction-heavy writing, where the emphasis is on the action itself rather than who performs it.

Morphology and usage notes: Sooritatakse is the present passive construction formed with the verb stem soorit- and the suffix -takse. In passive constructions, the subject performing the action is omitted, leaving the focus on the event or process. This makes sooritatakse suitable for describing procedures, experiments, tasks, or processes in a neutral, impersonal way. The sense can cover everyday tasks as well as more formal executions or completions.
