Completions, the plural of completion, denotes either the process of finishing an item or activity or the finished state and outputs associated with finishing it. The exact meaning varies by field, but common themes include closure, fulfillment of requirements, and the provision of a final product or result.

In language processing and human–computer interaction, completions are the predicted continuations of a partially typed input. Autocomplete, code completion, and predictive text systems present a list of suggested completions to speed up typing and reduce errors. In language models, a completion is the text generated in response to a prompt, with quality influenced by the prompt, context, model, and sampling method.

In mathematics, the completion of a metric space is a universal construction that adjoins limit points to make the space complete. This often uses Cauchy sequences and equivalence classes to produce a larger space in which every Cauchy sequence converges, with the original space embedded densely inside it.
