skýrja
Skýrja is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae. These moths are commonly known as emerald moths due to the vibrant green coloration of many of their species. The genus is primarily found in the Palearctic and Oriental regions. Skýrja moths are generally small to medium-sized insects, with wingspans typically ranging from 2 to 4 centimeters. Their forewings and hindwings are often similar in color and pattern, with the characteristic emerald green being most prominent. Some species may exhibit variations in coloration, including shades of yellow, brown, or white, often with subtle markings or bands.
The larvae, or caterpillars, of Skýrja moths are typically herbivorous, feeding on the leaves of various plants.
