Skogskyrkogården, meaning "The Woodland Cemetery" in English, is a cemetery located in southern Stockholm, Sweden. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its unique integration of landscape and architecture, and its profound influence on cemetery design worldwide. Designed by Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz, the cemetery was developed between 1917 and 1940 on a site of former gravel pits and pine forests.

The design concept was to create a natural, serene environment that would evoke a sense of peace and contemplation, moving away from the more ornate and structured cemeteries of the past. The landscape itself is a crucial element, with the existing trees, hills, and valleys carefully preserved and integrated into the layout.
