Sifatun is a term primarily used in Islamic theology, specifically within the context of describing God (Allah). It translates to "attributes" or "qualities." In Islamic tradition, understanding the sifatun of Allah is crucial for comprehending His nature and relationship with creation.

These attributes are understood to be perfect, eternal, and unique to Allah. They are not like the attributes of created beings. For example, Allah's knowledge (Ilm) is absolute and encompassing, whereas human knowledge is limited and acquired. His power (Qudrah) is omnipotent, not subject to any constraint.

The Quran and the Sunnah (teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad) are the primary sources for identifying and understanding Allah's sifatun. There are numerous attributes mentioned, often categorized into those related to existence, actions, and divine essence.
