Semptomatik is the branch of medicine that focuses on the signs and symptoms associated with diseases and conditions. It involves describing, classifying, and interpreting the clinical presentation to aid diagnosis and inform management.

It is distinct from etiology (the cause of disease) and from pathophysiology (the mechanisms by which disease processes develop).
