Saalistustapoja, the Finnish term for hunting or predation strategies, encompasses the diverse methods animals employ to capture and consume prey. These strategies are a fundamental aspect of ecology, shaping predator-prey dynamics and influencing the evolution of both species involved.

One common strategy is ambush predation, where an animal hides and waits for prey to come within striking distance. This is exemplified by cats like the leopard, which uses camouflage to blend into its surroundings before a swift pounce.
