Rändlus is the movement of people from one geographic area to another, for reasons that may be temporary or permanent. The term covers migration within a country as well as international movement across borders. It is derived from the Estonian root ränd-, meaning to wander.

Rändlus can be categorized in several ways. Internal migration refers to relocation within a state or region, while international migration involves crossing national borders. Seasonal or circular migration describes short-term movement tied to economic cycles or employment. Researchers also distinguish voluntary and forced rändlus, depending on whether individuals choose to move or move due to coercive circumstances.
