A runscorer is a term used in several sports, most notably cricket and baseball, to refer to the individual who is credited with scoring runs.

In cricket, a runscorer is typically the batsman who successfully hits the ball and is able to complete a run by reaching the opposite crease before the fielding side can return the ball. Runs are scored by batsmen as they move between the two wickets. If the ball is hit to the boundary without bouncing, it is automatically awarded four runs. If it crosses the boundary after bouncing, six runs are awarded. The term can also refer to the person or system that keeps track of the runs scored by each player and team.

In baseball, a runscorer is the player who advances around all four bases, from home plate to first, second, third, and finally back to home plate, to score a run for their team. A run is typically scored when a batter successfully hits the ball and then advances through all the bases, or when a runner already on base advances home due to a hit, a walk with the bases loaded, or certain other plays. The individual player who crosses home plate is credited with the run. Similar to cricket, the term can also denote the official scorer responsible for recording runs and other statistics.
