Rozmery is a term that may appear in discussions of measurements, but in standard Polish the common forms are rozmiary (sizes) and wymiary (dimensions). In Polish, rozmery is not widely used as a separate word; it is more typical in Czech or Slovak as rozměry and may appear in loanword or dialectal contexts. In English, the closest equivalents are dimensions or sizes, depending on the sense.

In mathematical and technical contexts, dimensions refer to the minimum number of coordinates needed to specify a point in a space, or to the independent directions in which movement or measurement occurs (for example, 2D space has two dimensions, 3D space has three). In everyday and manufacturing usage, rozmiary or wymiary denote measurements of objects, such as length, width, height, depth, or thickness. These are usually given in metric units (millimetres, centimetres, metres) or, less commonly, in imperial units (inches, feet).

In apparel, rozmiary ubrań describe clothing sizes (S, M, L, or numeric scales) rather than precise geometric dimensions. In digital media, the term dimensions is used for image or video size, expressed as width by height in pixels. The broader noun rozmiar refers to the overall size or scale of an object or file, for example rozmiar pliku (file size).

Measurement practice varies by field: precise dimensions require accurate tooling and tolerances in engineering, while abstract dimensions arise in data modeling or physics. Understanding the linguistic nuance between rozmiary and wymiary helps avoid confusion when translating between Polish and other Slavic languages.
