Essentially, a roolitaulukko is a grid that lists roles down one axis and tasks or responsibilities down the other.

The intersection of a role and a task indicates the level of involvement of that role. Common levels of involvement include responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed (often abbreviated as RACI). The "responsible" party is the one who does the work, while the "accountable" party is ultimately answerable for the task's completion.
