A researrangör, or travel organizer, is a person or company that designs and sells travel packages by combining at least two different travel services (such as transport, accommodation, meals or activities) into a single product offered to consumers. The organiser is typically the main point of contact for the customer and bears overall responsibility for the package as a whole.

Activities carried out by a researrangör include selecting and negotiating with service providers (hotels, airlines, local operators), creating itineraries, setting prices, marketing the packages, handling bookings and managing customer service before, during, and after the trip.

A key distinction is that a researrangör creates and markets the package, while a resebyrå (travel agency) often acts as the retailer or intermediary selling the package to consumers. A company may perform both roles, either in separate divisions or within the same organisation.

Legal framework and consumer rights: The concept is governed by the EU package travel directive (as implemented in member states) and national consumer protection laws. The researrangör is typically responsible for the proper performance of the package, for providing pre-contract information, and for addressing changes, refunds, or cancellations when necessary.
