Rectifiertorud is a term used in speculative engineering and certain science fiction contexts to denote a toroidal rectifier assembly. The name combines "rectifier" with the Latin-derived suffix "-torud" (taken as a torus). In these narratives, the device is envisioned as a compact, doughnut-shaped module that performs AC to DC conversion within a closed-loop geometry.

Design concepts describe a hollow torus containing a distributed network of rectifying elements—diodes, semiconductor switches, or non-linear devices—arranged along the inner surface or within windings around the torus. The toroid is fed by an AC source and delivers a DC output to a toroidal DC bus. Some models specify superconducting or low-resistance windings to minimize I2R losses, with capacitive or inductive smoothing distributed around the ring.
