Racja is a fixed portion of food or supplies allocated to an individual or group, used primarily in military, expeditionary, or emergency contexts. In Polish, the term is commonly linked to racja żywnościowa, the food ration issued to soldiers or civilians under constraint. Racje can also cover other essential provisions such as fuel, medical supplies, or survival equipment, depending on regulations.

Historically, rations have been employed to maintain supply lines, morale, and operational efficiency during war, sieges, evacuations, and large-scale mobilization. The contents and size of a ration typically varied by time period, climate, rank, role, and the specific regulating authority.
