Päätöspintaa is a Finnish term that translates to "decision surface" or "decision boundary" in English. It is a concept commonly encountered in machine learning and statistics, particularly in classification problems. A decision surface is a boundary in the feature space that separates different classes.

In a binary classification problem with two features, the decision surface can be visualized as a line or a curve on a two-dimensional plane. For problems with more than two features, the decision surface exists in a higher-dimensional space and is therefore not directly visualizable. The goal of many classification algorithms is to find an optimal decision surface that best distinguishes between the classes.

The shape and complexity of the decision surface depend on the algorithm used and the characteristics of the data.
