Pszichrométereket, commonly known as psychrometers, are instruments used to measure relative humidity. They consist of two thermometers, a dry-bulb thermometer and a wet-bulb thermometer, mounted side-by-side. The dry-bulb thermometer measures the ambient air temperature, while the wet-bulb thermometer has its bulb covered with a wet wick or cloth.
The difference in temperature between the two thermometers is directly related to the humidity of the air.
