Prezygoticate is a rarely used verb in biology that would mean to cause or induce prezygotic barriers to reproduction, thereby preventing fertilization before a zygote forms. The form is built from the Latin prefix pre- “before” + zygot(e) “zygote” + -icate, following conventions for turning nouns and adjectives into verbs.
