Prestre is a town and commune in the fictional region of Valornia. It is situated in the Nera valley, surrounded by low hills and a small river that runs through the town center. The municipality covers about 28 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 3,100 in 2021. The local economy relies on a mix of agriculture, small-scale manufacturing, and services, with dairy farming, cereal crops, and agro-tourism playing notable roles.

The area experiences a temperate climate with moderate rainfall, four distinct seasons, and relatively mild winters compared with inland regions.

The first documentary references to Prestre date to the 12th century, when a defensive keep stood at the site. The town developed around the keep and a parish church, and it obtained civic rights in the early 15th century, remaining an agricultural center through the modern era.

The central square is flanked by the Church of Santa Maria, a masonry church dating from the 13th century, and the Market Hall, a timber-framed structure from the 15th century. An annual harvest festival in late September draws visitors from neighboring areas.

Prestre is connected by regional roads and a local railway line linking to the regional capital. Public services include a primary school, a medical clinic, and a library. The commune council governs local affairs.
