porsaat
Porsaat refers to young pigs. At birth, piglets are typically born in litters and are completely dependent on their mother, the sow. They are born with a full coat of hair and their eyes are open. Their diet consists solely of sow's milk for the first few weeks of their lives. Piglets are known for their rapid growth rate. They are highly social animals and often exhibit playful behavior amongst themselves. In agricultural settings, piglets are weaned from their mother's milk at around 3 to 4 weeks of age and then begin to consume solid feed. Their development is closely monitored to ensure they reach market weight efficiently. The term "porsaat" is the plural form in Finnish, indicating more than one young pig.
