Porosinë is a class of synthetic porous materials notable for a three-dimensionally interconnected pore network that can be tuned from microporous to mesoporous scales. It is used in separation, catalysis and storage applications.

The material comprises an inorganic–organic hybrid framework built from silica- or aluminosilicate-based nodes linked by organic moieties. Pores are created via templating processes, leaving channels that run throughout the solid. The pore size and surface chemistry are adjustable through precursor selection and functionalization.

Common synthesis routes include sol–gel and hydrothermal methods with soft or hard templates, followed by template removal. Etymology and history: the name combines a root related to poros- meaning pore with a suffix -inë. First reports appeared in materials science literature in the 2010s, with ongoing work expanding synthesis routes, functionalization strategies, and application domains.
