Porelloids are a hypothetical group of early multicellular organisms that may have existed during the Ediacaran period. The term "porelloid" is not a formally recognized taxonomic rank but is used in some scientific discussions to describe organisms with a porous or fenestrated body structure. These organisms are distinct from the more commonly discussed Ediacaran biota, such as the frond-like Rangeomorphs or discoidal Dickinsonia.

The concept of porelloids arises from interpretations of certain Precambrian fossils that exhibit features suggesting a more complex organization than simple microbial mats but lack the distinct quilted or segmented structures seen in other Ediacaran forms. These fossils are often characterized by irregular, branching, or reticulate patterns with numerous openings or voids within their structure. The function of these pores is unknown, but proposed roles include nutrient absorption, gas exchange, or a simple consequence of their growth and structural development.

Evidence for porelloids is based on interpretations of micro- and macroscopic features of fossilized impressions. Definitive identification and classification remain challenging due to the limited nature of the fossil record and the potential for taphonomic artifacts to mimic biological structures. Research into these enigmatic organisms continues, aiming to better understand the early evolution of multicellularity and the diversity of life forms that existed before the Cambrian explosion.
