Pogodzenie is a Polish noun that denotes the act or process of bringing conflicting parties into agreement, restoring harmony after a dispute, or reaching a settlement. It is formed from the verb pogodzić, which means to reconcile or to bring into accord, with the prefix po- intensifying or indicating completion.

The term is used in various contexts. In interpersonal relationships, pogodzenie refers to repairing relations after estrangement, often accompanied by forgiveness or mutual concessions. In social and political contexts, it can describe rapprochement between groups or states, or a cooling of tensions. In legal and economic language, pogodzenie may indicate a negotiated settlement or informal agreement between disputing parties; however more formal terms such as ugoda or porozumienie are common in legal prose.

Religious and philosophical usage is less standardized. In everyday language, pogodzenie can mean reconciliation between humans and the divine or within a community, but doctrinal discussions typically employ terms like pojednanie or odkupienie to denote specific theological concepts.
