Pidevusvõrrand, also known as the continuity equation, is a fundamental equation in physics that expresses the conservation of a conserved quantity. It is most commonly applied to fluid dynamics and electromagnetism, but its principles extend to other areas of physics as well. The equation states that the rate of change of the conserved quantity within a given volume is equal to the net flux of that quantity into the volume.
