paisumistöötluse
Paisumistöötlus, also known as expansion processing or blooming, is a metalworking technique used to enlarge the diameter of a cylindrical workpiece, such as a pipe or a tube, without significantly altering its wall thickness or length. This process is typically achieved by inserting a specialized tool, often called a mandrel or a plug, into the hollow of the workpiece. The workpiece is then subjected to external pressure, either through mechanical means like rollers or hydraulic pressure, or through controlled heating.
The external force causes the workpiece material to deform and flow outwards, expanding over the inserted tool.
