Póelektryczne, often written półelektryczne, is an adjective in Polish meaning partially electric or semi-electric. It is formed from the prefix pół- (half) and the adjective elektryczny (electric). The neuter plural form is półelektryczne. In standard usage, the more common spelling in contemporary technical language is półelektryczny/półelektryczne, though variations can appear in older or non-specialist texts.

The term is used to describe systems, devices, or mechanisms that rely on electricity only partially, i.e., they combine electric energy with another energy source or mode of operation. In engineering and transportation discourse, możliwe applications include mechanisms that are powered by electricity for part of their function while using another form of energy for the remainder, or devices that can operate in an electric mode but are not exclusively powered by electricity. In practice, półelektryczne solutions are often discussed in contrast to fully electric or fully mechanical systems, and in many contexts they are practically synonymous with what is commonly labeled as hybrid technologies.

In everyday and technical Polish, the more precise or widely adopted terms for specific cases are preferred: for propulsion, hybrids are usually described as napędy hybrydowe or napędy elektryczno-spalinowe rather than using the general descriptor półelektryczne. Nevertheless, the adjective remains a neutral descriptor in contexts where only part of an system’s energy or operation is electric, such as certain experimental configurations, legacy descriptions, or broad theoretical discussions.
