Oxygensupplying is the process of delivering oxygen to a recipient or system. It encompasses medical oxygen therapy, industrial gas supply, and various specialized applications where enhanced or controlled oxygen levels are required. The term can refer to both portable and stationary delivery methods, and to on-site generation or centralized distribution networks.

In medical contexts, oxygensupplying supports patient oxygenation and is guided by clinical indications and monitoring. Common delivery devices include nasal cannulas, which typically provide about 1–6 liters per minute and deliver roughly 24–40% oxygen; simple face masks, around 5–10 L/min with approximately 40–60% oxygen; and non-rebreather masks, capable of higher concentrations toward 100%. Oxygen concentrators extract and concentrate oxygen from ambient air for home or remote use, while liquid oxygen systems store larger quantities for higher or continuous demand. Therapies are adjusted to achieve target arterial oxygen levels or oxygen saturation, often monitored with pulse oximetry or arterial blood gas analysis.

Industrial applications involve supplying oxygen for combustion, metallurgy, chemical synthesis, and wastewater treatment. On-site oxygen plants or cryogenic storage provide high-purity oxygen fed through pipelines or mobile cylinders. In these settings, oxygen enrichment can improve efficiency but also increases fire and explosion risks, requiring rigorous handling, safety procedures, and equipment designed for high-pressure and high-purity environments.

Safety considerations are central to oxygensupplying. Oxygen supports combustion and can cause materials to ignite more readily. Keep oils, greases, and fuels away from oxygen systems; store cylinders upright and secured; rigorously follow manufacturer and regulatory guidelines for handling, storage, and installation.
