Oxygencontrol refers to systems and devices designed to monitor and regulate the concentration of oxygen in a defined space or process. The objective is to maintain a specified oxygen level, expressed as a percentage or partial pressure, to support health, safety, or process requirements while avoiding hypoxia or hyperoxia.

A typical oxygencontrol setup includes sensors that measure oxygen concentration, actuators or gas-delivery components to adjust supply of oxygen or inert gas, a controller using algorithms such as proportional-integral-derivative or more advanced model-based strategies, and alarms and logging mechanisms. The system may operate in closed-loop fashion or as a semi-automatic controller with manual override.

Applications include medical settings where controlled oxygen delivery supports patient therapy, industrial environments such as mining or submarines where atmosphere must be tightly controlled, aquaculture and horticulture systems, and life-support or environmental-control systems in aerospace and laboratories.

Safety and regulation: These systems emphasize fail-safe behavior, redundancy, and audible or visual alarms. Regular sensor calibration, system verification, and maintenance are required. In many jurisdictions, medical-oxygen control equipment is regulated as a medical device and must meet applicable safety and performance standards.
