Overfunctioners are individuals who consistently take on more responsibility and tasks than is reasonably expected of them. Overfunctioners may struggle to delegate, often stepping in to complete tasks even when others are capable of doing them. They might also feel a strong sense of guilt or anxiety when they are not actively contributing or solving problems.

At work, an overfunctioner might volunteer for extra projects, stay late to finish tasks, or take on the burdens of less productive colleagues.
